Sssh! Silents on the Streets!
One of the hits of last year’s Festival was our silent films event on Bridge & Magdalene Streets and, knowing we were on to a good thing, we hosted another event this year!
While Paul Robinson held down the fort on one end with live piano accompaniment to some classic Buster Keaton…
Neil Brand wowed the crowd playing along to Harold Lloyd at the other!
Scientists Unite!
After all four of our films for the Science on Screen season had shown we were lucky to host an exclusive free panel debate chaired by Caspar Melville, editor of New Humanist Magazine. He was joined by Sile Lane (Sense About Science), Louise Foxcroft (author of The Making of Addiction) and Brent Leung (director of HOUSE OF NUMBERS).

Remi Bezancon takes Cambridge by Storm!
Remi Bezancon, director of French film THE FIRST DAY OF THE REST OF YOUR LIFE was in Cambridge and seemed to be rather enamored with one of our trademark modes of transport!
Thankfully he stopped punting people up and down the river in plenty of time to attend a Q&A session of his film, which was a big hit with our audiences.
The Calling
Finally, amidst a busy day of exciting events, we screened THE CALLING, directed by Jan Dunn and starring Susannah York.
The pair graced us with their presence for an exclusive Q&A after the film.
