Open Air Screening: MAMMA MIA!

I’m sitting on the grass in Spring Lane Field in Grantchester, where the audience is starting to arrive for tonight’s open air screening of MAMMA MIA!, presented as a ‘silent disco screening’ as the soundtrack will be broadcast on FM and the audience will listen through specially provided radios. It promises to be a remarkable experience – especially for anyone who doesn’t have a radio, as they will find themselves enduring the sound of several hundred people signing along to the ABBA songs – probably out of tune…
We’ll bring reports and perhaps even some recordings of the event later in the evening, but now it’s off to the beer tent to see if the IPA has settled properly…
