Open Air Screening: Big River Man
Another fine evening in Grantchester Meadows was enjoyed by several hundred members of the public, this time watching BIG RIVER MAN – a documentary about the world’s greatest endurance swimmer, Martin Strel, and his bid to swim the Amazon.
As with MAMMA MIA!, the film was projected across the river onto our impressive inflatable screen. However, this event was certainly made more unique due to the presence of the star of the film, Martin Strel, who arrived by punt!
After saying a few words to the crowd, Strel took his seat as the guest of honour to watch the film.
The crowd gave Strel a thunderous ovation after the film was over and eagerly queued up for autographs from ‘The World’s Last Superhero’.
Strel was very friendly and personable and made sure everyone that wanted to meet him went home happy!
